India took a comfortable 107 run lead over Sri Lanka at the end of the 2nd days play. For India Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay slammed 121 and 128 runs respectively. After Vijay got dismissed , skipper Virat Kohli came out to bat and slammed his 15th test 50. On day one the visitors elected to bat first after winning the toss but kept on losing wickets at regular interval. For India Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Ishant Sharma were the pick of the bowlers as they allowed the Lankan batsman to settle in the middle. For Lanka Karunaratne and Chandimal were the top scorers hitting 51 and 57 runs respectively. For India Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja picked 3 wickets each while R.Ashwin picked 4 wickets.
