Delhi Metro loses 3 lakh passengers due to hike in fare | Oneindia News

An RTI to the Delhi Metro Railway Corporation has revealed that a loss of over 3 lakh average daily commuters has taken place post delhi metro fare hike. The busiest metro route, the blue line, has suffered a ridership of 30 lakh whereas the yellow line has sufferer a setback of 19 lakh commuters. The decision to increase the fare in metro was met with numerous protests and calls for a rollback, however, nothing changes, and the increased fare remained. With the loss in ridership, will the Delhi metro now suffer a major setback?
