'Players Are The Boss': Trump Lashes Out After NFL Player Kneels For Anthem Before Thanksgiving Game

President Trump lashed out at the NFL again on Thursday over national anthem protests.

After New York Giants defensive end Olivier Vernon did not stand during the national anthem on Thanksgiving Day, President Trump took to Twitter again and lashed out over the anthem protests.
"Can you believe that the disrespect for our Country, our Flag, our Anthem continues without penalty to the players," Trump tweeted Friday morning. "The Commissioner has lost control of the hemorrhaging league. Players are the boss!"
Days ago, the president had slammed an alternative that some NFL owners are reportedly considering in light of the continued protests.
"The NFL is now thinking about a new idea - keeping teams in the Locker Room during the National Anthem next season. That's almost as bad as kneeling!" Trump tweeted Wednesday morning. "When will the highly paid Commissioner finally get tough and smart? This issue is killing your league!"
His tweet came one day after the Washington Post's report on the potential policy change.
"Some NFL owners believe there is a strong possibility they will enact an offseason change to the league's national anthem policy if players' protests during the anthem persist through the end of this season, reverting to a previous approach of keeping players in the locker room while the anthem is played, according to several people familiar with the league's inner workings," the Post noted.
