High profile kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike popularly known as Evans, appeared in court on October 19, for the commencement of his trial.

After initially pleading GUILTY as charged, Evans pleaded NOT GUILTY after the charges against him and five other accomplices were amended.
