On Tuesday, President Donald Trump skipped the plenary session of a summit of East and Southeast Asian leaders in Manila due to scheduling delays, however he still declared his marathon trip through the region a success. As meetings ran about two hours behind schedule, Trump left the Philippines for the United States following a lunch with other leaders. According to a White House official, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson would be attending the plenary session in the president's place. Trump also claimed that the trip had resulted in at least three-hundred-billion dollars of deals being agreed to, though he did not elaborate.
