Nintendo to Make Animated Super Mario Bros. Film

Nintendo has reportedly signed a deal with animation studio Illumination Entertainment to make an animated Mario movie. According to the report, Illumination, which produced the 'Despicable Me' movie series, has been in negotiations with Nintendo for over a year. Reports add that right now, the deal is for just one movie, but there is potential for sequels. The animated Super Mario Bros. film is currently in “early development,” which doesn’t mean much. However, thanks to the recent release of the popular 'Super Mario Odyssey' game, fans will probably be able to keep themselves busy until more information is announced.
