Amazon is bringing 'Lord of the Rings' to your TV screens

That's right. Amazon just announced that they acquire the rights to make 'Lord of the Rings' for TV. The new multi-season series is Amazon's attempt at finding its own mega-show like 'Game of Thrones.' "We are honored to be working with the Tolkien Estate and Trust, HarperCollins and New Line on this exciting collaboration for television and are thrilled to be taking 'The Lord of the Rings' fans on a new epic journey in Middle Earth."
