Colin Kaepernick Named 'Citizen of the Year'

Take a bow Colin Kaepernick!

The former 49er has just been named GQ’s Citizen of the Year… and maybe that means he’ll have the last laugh.

GQ editors wrote that he’s been vilified by millions and locked out of the NFL, all because he took a knee to protest police brutality. They added that he will not be silenced and his determined stand will put him in that rare company in sports history, as an athlete who risked everything to make a difference.

But Colin wasn’t the only celeb to get honored.

Stephen Colbert was named Bad Hombre of the Year…

NBA finals MVP Kevin Durant was named Champion of the Year…

And Gal Gadot was named – to no surprise – the Wonder Woman of the Year.
