Despite possible reports to the contrary, the White House officially confirmed that President Donald Trump will not formally meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin while in Vietnam. The Russian government had previously said the two had plans to meet, but White House press secretary Sarah Sanders set the record straight while speaking to reporters on Air Force One. She admitted that the two would probably run into each other, but that due to scheduling conflicts, a formal meeting was impossible. Vietnam is the fourth stop on Trump's Asia tour, having already visited China, South Korea and Japan. His final stop will be in the Phillipines.
