According to a report by Bloomberg, three Walmart executives are facing off in a ninety-day contest to see who can boost sales in certain fitness product categories in the upcoming holiday season. Marc Lore, Jet's co-founder and head of Walmart's US online business, is selling yoga mats, while Jeremy King, US Chief Technology Officer, is selling abdominal-toning machines, and
Scott Hilton, Walmart's US ecommerce chief revenue officer, is selling exercise balls. The contest, which started on October 5, is reportedly intended to help executives get some hands-on experience with how to best challenge its biggest ecommerce rival Amazon.
