UK convenience store owner makes viral music video to save his licence

The owners of a UK corner shop (convenience store) are hoping this amusing new music video will go viral and help to save their licence.

Business owner Sindhu and "Uncle Bal" say that because they were selling bottles of homemade basil juice with no listed ingredients, Trading Standards decided to suspend the south London shop's licence.

The move prompted them to release the feel-good track "Sun Shines (On You)".

The video features Sindhu singing and dancing around the store amid packets of tea, biriyani paste and other household products.

The action then cuts to the street outside where "Uncle Bal" performs a hilarious rap, including the brilliant line:

"You don't need money to be wealthy - pick up a cat and take a selfie."

The video seems almost certain to be a viral hit but what's not at all clear is how Sindhu and Uncle Bal's popularity will save the shop from closure.
