Manus Protesters Barricade Entrance to Melbourne Border Force Office

Protesters barricaded the entrance to Melbourne’s Border Force office on Friday, November 10, in a bid to bring attention to the plight of asylum seekers and refugees living on Manus Island.Demonstrators used bikes, furniture and building materials to block the main entrance, but did not disrupt other doors into the building, 7 News reported.“Stop the violence, stop the hate,” protesters chant in this video.This came 10 days after the Manus Regional Processing Centre was closed. Asylum seekers and refugees still in the facility would be forcibly removed by Papua New Guinea authorities if they did not leave by November 11, ABC reported.
