According to The New York Times, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has threatened to sue the NFL and other owners over Commissioner Roger Goodell's pending contract extension. The move has led ESPN's NFL insider Adam Schefter to speculate that Jones is looking to take over the league. During an appearance on "Mike & Mike," Schefter added, "Jerry Jones is almost being a maverick on this, leading the charge to try to get Goodell out of there, or reduce his salary, or have some type of effect." As of now, insiders say Jones does not have enough support to block the needed two-thirds votes required to approve the contract extension.
