Stunning footage of the Northern Lights illuminating parts of the United Kingdom with an enchanting green glow in what our experienced weather filmer describes as the "best aurora of the year."

The timelapse video, shot on November 7, shows the view from the Causeway Cliffs in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.

Writes the filmer: "Best aurora of the year in the form of a bright G3 [geomagnetic] storm, which washed out the stars over the County Antrim coast."
