Trump’s Job Approval Rating Dips To Lowest Number In ‘Over Seven Decades Of Polling’

A new poll has found that a historically low number of Americans approve of the job President Trump is doing.

A Washington Post/ABC News poll conducted from October 29 to November 1 has found that a historically low number of Americans approve of the job President Trump is doing.
"Trump has an approval rating demonstrably lower than any previous chief executive at this point in his presidency over seven decades of polling," according to the Washington Post. "Fewer than 4 in 10 Americans — 37 percent — say they approve of the way he is handling his job,"
Meanwhile, more than half, or 59 percent, of the 1,005 adult participants said they disapproved of Trump's performance as president.
Only one other U.S. leader reached his ninth month in office with a net negative rating. That was Harry Truman who became America's 33rd president in 1945.
The Post has suggested that Trump's approval numbers, which have been consistently low, may have dipped even further due to his hurricane response, the Russia investigation, and challenges passing key legislation.
Other recent polls also have the president dropping to notably low levels of job approval.
At the end of last month, a rolling Gallup survey found that 33 percent approved of his performance--the lowest number during his term thus far.
And only 38 percent of participants in an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll from around the same time said they approved of Trump's job as president. His previous low had been 39 percent in May.
