Large Crowd Cheers Catalan Parliament Members as They Depart For Supreme Court Testimony

Anna Simó, first secretary of the Catalan Parliament, and Joan Josep Nuet, third secretary of the Bureau of Parliament, were cheered at the train station in Barcelona on November 1 as they departed to testify before the Supreme Court in Madrid.The two are being investigated for “rebellion” and have been summoned to the Supreme Court to testify, according to reports.The largely supportive crowd was met with protesters carrying Spanish flags, as seen in this video.
