Michelle Obama on Wednesday seemed to offer President Trump some veiled advice on how to make effective, impactful tweets.
During a talk at the Obama Foundation Summit, the former first lady warned against firing off whatever pops into one's mind.
"Most of your first initial thoughts are not worthy of the light of day," she commented.
Obama added that she was not, "talking about anybody in particular."
She went on to note that social media is a powerful weapon often freely given to children, then stressed about the importance of proper spelling and mindful grammar.
Though she continued to refrain from mentioning any one frequent Twitter user in particular, Obama did address the immense weight given to the social media messages of a president or first lady.
"You have that voice and that power and that platform and I think what comes with that is the responsibility to know that every word you utter has consequences," Obama said.
