Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan slammed 80s to help India reach 202/3. India’s bowlers put in a great show as they won by 53 runs to secure their first-ever win over New Zealand in Twenty20 Internationals. Ashish Nehra signed off his international career on a high. Having won the ODI series 2-1, India will aim to establish their T20 credentials when they take on New Zealand in the first T20 match at Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla. New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl in the first match. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma blasted the highest opening stand for India in Twenty20 Internationals as they ended up on 202/3. This will be the first T20 match that the Indian cricket team will be playing at Kotla and it will be veteran speedster Ashish Nehra’s swansong.

टीम इंडिया ने दिल्ली के कोटला स्टेडियम में खेले गए पहले टी-20 मैच में न्यूजीलैंड को 53 रनों से मात देकर 10 साल बाद उनके खिलाफ इस फॉर्मेट में जीत दर्ज की है. साथ ही विराट ब्रिगेड ने 3 मैचों की टी-20 सीरीज में 1-0 से बढ़त भी बना ली है. इस मैच में पहले बल्लेबाजी करने उतरी टीम इंडिया ने न्यूजीलैंड को जीत के लिए 203 रनों का लक्ष्य दिया. जवाब में कीवी टीम 20 ओवर में 8 विकेट गंवा कर 149 रन ही बना पाई और इस तरह भारत ने यह मुकाबला 53 रनों से जीत लिया.
