Jesus Messiah (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as) will both appear at the end times

ADNAN OKTAR: Even if Hazrat Mahdi (as) is still in occultation, people will still benefit greatly from him. The effects of the Mahdi movement will be felt all across the world. His influence will be felt among governments, nations, people; it will be felt everywhere. In fact, our Prophet (saas) says, "Just as people benefit from the sun even when it is blocked by clouds," referring to how the sky remains quite bright due to the reflecting light even when sun is blocked by clouds. Our Prophet (saas) draws a perfect parallel between the Mahdi and these reflections. "Just as people benefit from the sun even when it is blocked by clouds, they will benefit from the Mahdi (as) in the same manner."  People can benefit from the Mahdi (as) by both directly by personally meeting him and by his reflections. So how does this happen? The sunlight hits the clouds. Right? It illuminates the clouds. And, in turn clouds illuminate the surrounding by reflecting light onto one another. And people think that it is the clouds that provide illumination, oblivious to the fact that it is actually the sun that does so. Likewise, those who are illuminated by the Mahdi (as) do not realize this fact because of the reflections. For example, their house might be blessed with immense faith, but they cannot identify its source. Or a state, a government might be blessed with immense prosperity. But they cannot figure out why. They are not aware of the fact that the Mahdi movement is the reason behind it. The Mahdi movement is the reason why the USA currently enjoys a period of prosperity. This is also true for Turkey and Russia. Otherwise, the world would fall apart. The world still stands by virtue of the prosperity brought about by Mahdi (as) and Jesus Messiah. God sends Jesus Messiah back to earth so that there is partial distraction from the Mahdi's (as) works. And God sends Mahdi to earth so that all the attention is not focused on Jesus Messiah (as). The existence of both divides people's attention. For instance, Jesus Messiah could have said "I will come alone," the attention could be lessened because of the cynics. But Hazrat Mahdi (as) says; " I will appear. And Jesus Messiah will appear along me." He mentions a second person. One might argue that the Mahdi says so because he is looking after his personal interest. One might think so. Then why would he mention Jesus Messiah along with himself?  He says, "You will see Jesus Messiah, too." This is a major challenge against disbelievers. In a sense, Hazrat Mahdi says, "You will recognize and accept my existence. And you will also recognize, come to know and accept Jesus Messiah's existence. You will accept us both."
