Nightwear Is Banned From Saudi Arabia's Soccer Stadiums
  • 6 years ago
Men in loose-fitting night robes are a common sight at Saudi soccer stadiums, but maybe not for long.

Saudi's general sports authority recently announced a ban, calling the robes an "affront to public decency" and saying they should only be worn in the privacy of one's home. Now, "banning nightwear in stadiums" is trending in the country.

Many are against the ban, while others feel it doesn't go far enough. Some argue that the ban shouldn't only apply to stadiums, but to mosques as well.

For now, Saudi fans will have to enjoy their soccer games in something a little less casual.
