Noted malayalam filmmaker I V Sasi who has more than 150 movies to his credit, died on Tuesday morning, at the age of 69. As per early reports, he was being taken to the hospital. Sasi was undergoing treatment in Chennai.

പ്രശസ്ത സംവിധായകൻ ഐ വി ശശി മരിച്ചു. 69 വയസ്സായിരുന്നു. മലയാളത്തിന് പുറമെ തമിഴ്, തെലുങ്ക്, ഹിന്ദി ഭാഷകളിലായി 150ഓളം ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. മലയാളത്തില്‍ ഏറ്റവുമധികം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത രണ്ട് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ച സംവിധായകരില്‍ ഒരാളാണ് അദ്ദേഹം. നടി സീമയാണ് ഭാര്യ. മലയാളികളുടെ എക്കാലത്തെയും പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട സിനിമകളായ മൃഗയ, ദേവാസുരം എന്നിവയെല്ലാം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത് ഐ വി ശശി ആണ്.
