New Zealanders Perform WWI Memorial Haka In Belgium

Kiwi soldiers recently danced the haka in Belgium to memorialize a 100-year-old WWI battle.

The haka, a tradition of the Maori, New Zealand's Polynesian indigenous ancestors, is a war dance that blends aggressive movements and chants to warn adversaries.

While there are many different forms of haka, the "Ka Mate" chant is the most famous. That's due to the national rugby team, which performs it before most matches.
