EasyJet flights make emergency landings 'due to Saharan dust'

Two EastJet planes were forced to make emergency landings at Manchester Airport within an hour of each other, footage filmed this afternoon shows.

In the video, shot on October 16, both aircrafts can be seen landing at the airport.

They were met by fire crews and escorted to their respective gates.

According to the filmer, it was reported that both aircraft had fumes in the cockpit and cabin and this was due to the ash and smoke that Storm Ophelia had brought up from the Sahara.
