WWE Signs First Female Wrestlers From India And The Middle East

In an effort to make its roster as diverse as its audience, the WWE has signed the first female wrestlers from India and the Middle East.
Kavita Devi was the first Indian woman to compete in a WWE tournament earlier this year, competing in the Mae Young Classic. Devin, who won gold in powerlifting at the 2016 South Asian Games, Devi was trained by former WWE champion The Great Khali.
Joining her is Shadia Bseiso, a jiu-jitsu athlete and TV presenter from Jordan. After she was invited to a WWE tryout in Dubai earlier this year, Bseiso impressed the judges with her athleticism and charisma.
The two competitors will begin training in Florida in January, joining an ever-growing international roster of women wrestlers.
