Survival Capsule: Engineers make floating capsule to withstand natural disasters
  • 7 years ago
A floating survival shelter, or ‘Red Capsule,’ can house 2-10 people for up to five days. Made from aircraft-grade aluminum, it protects occupants from a natural disaster, as well as sharp-object penetration, heat exposure, blunt-object impact, and rapid deceleration. The shelters are able to withstand tsunamis, tornadoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes when evacuation is not possible.
