Russian spacecraft launches for ISS resupply mission

The unmanned Russian Progress 68 cargo craft blasted off Saturday (October 14) from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

The spacecraft is on its way to the International Space Station (ISS) on a resupply mission. It is delivering nearly three tons of food, fuel and supplies to the ISS crew.

Liftoff was on time at 0846 GMT. NASA's mission control in Houston managed the launch.
