Sheer madness! Daredevils perform headfirst base jump down cliff face

This is the moment daredevils perform an incredible base jump down a cliff face over Norway fjords.

The footage, filmed near the village of Lysebotn in Rogaland county in 2013 but only now emerging online, was captured by experienced base jumper Carlos Pedro Briceno, a 43-year-old Venezuelan based in Florida, and shows a multi way base jump, meaning a jump with many people.

He writes: "This is a very extreme jump, because we are jumping head down next to the rocks. It is a very difficult maneuver to do from a cliff because you accelerate faster than falling on your belly. And you are very close to the wall. So everything has to be perfect.

"Why do I do this? Because I love the feeling of flying and this is the closest that you can be to that feeling."
