Salat (performing prayers) is a very important act of worship

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course, it is possible,One can be religious without performing prayers. God might have created a person to be deeply sincere, but somehow performing prayers was not in that person's destiny. In such cases, God bases His judgment on his other good aspects, and grant that person His heaven accordingly. But God also firmly warns those who do not perform prayers. Avoiding performing prayers is terrifying. It is actually quite easy to perform prayers, but they make it seem difficult. God says in the Qur'an; "They will ask the evildoers: 'What caused you to enter the hell?’" and the first thing they say is, "We were not among those who performed prayers." For this reason, my brothers and sisters should not completely forgo performing prayers. They should at least try to perform one of the five daily prayers. Or they should try, if they can, to perform two of them. Nevertheless, they should not stop performing prayers altogether. They should at least try to perform the Friday prayer. At the very least, they should perform the Salat al-Eid [The feast prayer].
