Sturgeon vows to set up not-for-profit energy firm

The SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon has unveiled plans to create a publicly-owned, not-for-profit energy company before the end of the current parliament. Addressing delegates at the party’s annual conference in Glasgow, the First Minister of Scotland said the new body will secure the lowest possible price for consumers – without have to consider shareholder dividends or corporate bonuses.
