Donald Trump's Scottish golf venture goes deeper into the red

Donald Trump’s Scottish golf resorts have plunged further into the red, with his International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire again losing over a million euros in 2016, the fifth year in a row such a sum has gone up in smoke, while his flagship Turnberry fared even worse.

Trump’s interest-free loans to the two courses hit nearly 170 million euros at the end of 2016, according to the latest accounts, and he has delayed most of the two billion dollar investment he promised when he moved into Scotland a decade ago. Locals are still waiting for the 6000 jobs he said his ambitious plans would create.
