Russian Pot Fans Have Good Reason To Be Paranoid

If you're planning on going to Russia, leave your weed-printed socks at home.

Drug control in Russia is so strict that people can get in trouble for displaying or wearing weed imagery. Authorities sometimes regard this as promoting drug propaganda, which is illegal in the country. A shop owner was recently fined the equivalent of $700 for selling items emblazoned with cannabis leaf. In addition to the fine, police burned the merchandise.

The line between propaganda and fashion can be blurry, so Russian potheads have reason to be super paranoid.
