U.S. Republican Representative Tim Murphy had a pregnancy scare with a woman he was having an affair with. Once a member of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus, he will now resign for allegedly telling her to get an abortion. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, she denied the procedure, called him out, and received this text: “I get what you say about my March for life messages. I’ve never written them. Staff does them. I read them and winced. I told staff don’t write any more. I will.” House speaker Paul Ryan announced Murphy's October 21st resignation on Thursday.
