Spectacular dash cam video captures moment flying plank smashes windscreen

Dramatic dash cam footage has emerged from southern China of a plank of wood flying into a car's front windscreen on a highway.
The video, from Dongguan, Guangdong Province on September 29, shows a white car in front, moving to the right-hand lane and appearing to run over the plank that is lying on the ground.
It flicks up into the air, spinning at speed towards the vehicle behind and striking its windscreen.
According to local reports, the plank was around 60cm long and weighted at least 5kg. It may have dropped from a vehicle transporting goods, they say.
Police blamed the white car for the incident.
