Jason Aldean Calls For Unity After Tragic Las Vegas Shooting

Jason Aldean had to flee from the stage during the worst mass shooting in the United States, where 59 people lost their lives and more than 500 were wounded at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas.
Now, the country singer is using his platform to ask for unity.
E! Online reports that the singer sent a heartfelt message, saying “Over the last 24 hours I have gone through lots of emotions. Scared, Anger, Heartache, Compassion and many others. I truly don’t understand why a person would want to take the life of another. Something has changed in this country and in this world lately that is scary to see.”
Aldean is referring to the shooter who used automatic weapons against a crowd of 22,000 innocent concert goers just trying to enjoy country music.
Aldean says, “At the end of the day we aren’t Democrats or Republicans. White or blacks, men or women. We are all humans and we are all Americans and it’s time to start acting like it and stand together as ONE! That is the only way we will ever get this Country to be better than it has ever been, but we have a long way to go and we have to start now.”
Jimmy Kimmel also got emotional about the tragedy during his show. It’s clear that celebrities are putting their foot down and want some significant and positive change.
