The child, named Luke, came into the world on September 12, notes Newsweek.
The "deplorable” reference goes back a bit further.
“To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?" Hillary Clinton told a crowd gathered in New York in September of 2016. "Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it.”
Many Donald Trump supporters embraced the label, and a number of them responded to Eric’s tweet, making it known they still count themselves among the “deplorables.”
One wrote, “only the honorable deplorable gets to wear that label,” while another commented, “Start Him Young.”
Others kept it more general, offering well wishes such as, “Total love. May you find sleep at some point. I didn't sleep for the past 25 years.”
