Las Vegas shooting: what we know so far

At least 50 people were killed and over 400 transported to hospitals after a shooting at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival in Las Vegas. The gunman has been identified as Stephen Paddock, a 64-year-old man from Mesquite, Nevada. AP reports that Paddock killed himself before police raided his 32nd floor hotel room at the Mandalay Bay. Police said they found “numerous firearms” in his hotel room. Paddock opened fire on the crowd from his hotel room at the Mandalay Bay at approximately 10:08 pm. His motives are unknown and he has no known links to any terror groups.
