Galaxies are sprawling space systems composed\r
of dust, gas and countless stars.\r
Huge balls of glowing gas in the sky is called a Star.\r
Stars are formed from the clouds of gas and dust in\r
space, called nebula and have their own heat and light.\r
The stars are very far from us and thus they\r
appear tiny and twinkling.\r
Its the by far the largest object in the solar system.\r
It is at the centre of solar system.\r
It is a spinning ball of very hot gas.\r
Its the heat and light of the sun that makes life possible on earth.\r
The sun is fueled by nuclear fusion reion.\r
It can fit 1.3 million earth inside its sphere.\r
The sun has been burning for more then 4.5 billion year.\r
And its the gravitational force of the sun that keeps all the planets in their orbit.\r
The First 4 Planets Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars are composed mostly of rocks and are called inner planets and have few or no moon.\r
They are also known as lesser planets.\r
The outer planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are mostly huge, gaseous, ringed and have many moons.\r
These planets are light and move quickly these are also known as gas giants.\r
ASTEROID BELT\r
The inner planets and the outer planets are separated by the asteroid belt.\r
Also known as minor planets - they are rock or metallic\r
objects most of which orbit the sun in the asteroid belt between \r
Mars and Jupiter.\r
They do not have any atmosphere.\r
There are about 40,000 known asteroid and Ceres is the largest of them.\r
Some fs about the planets Earth is the densest planet.\r
The planet with the strongest gravitational force at its surface is Jupiter.\r
The planet with the longest day is Venus.\r
The planet with the shortest day is Jupiter.\r
Venus is the brightest planet and can be seen with the naked eye.\r
Mars is called the Red Planet and is home to the largest volcano in our solar system.\r
Jupiter is the largest and Mercury is the smallest planet.\r
All the planets are spherical in shape.\r
They revolve around the sun in elliptical paths called orbits.\r
Mercury is the closest and takes 88 days to complete one revolution.\r
