Meghan McCain, daughter of Arizona Senator John McCain, posted an emotional response to reports that President Trump has been mocking her father by doing impersonations of him.
“What more must my family be put through right now? This is abhorrent,” she said via Twitter Wednesday.
Senator McCain was diagnosed with brain cancer not long ago and in recent days admitted that his prognosis is “very serious.”
According to Axios, President Trump has also been doing unflattering impressions of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
“In private, President Trump has taken to physically mocking M&M: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (slumped shoulders; lethargic body language) and Sen. John McCain (imitating the thumbs-down of his historic health-care vote),” the media outlet writes in a Wednesday report.
Axios doesn’t say how long this has been going on, but it does appear to coincide with the GOP’s latest failed attempt to repeal and replace Obamacare.
