Strength, patience, and a jack were required when it came to removing this brown snake from a home in Clarendon, South Australia, on September 10.Catchers used a jack to hold rocks while they grappled in the soil to pull out the large snake. The snake could be held and patted because it was “cold”, according to Snake Catchers Adelaide catcher Rolly. The eastern brown is found on Australia’s east coast and base of South Australia.According to the Queensland Museum, the snake is “dangerously venomous”.“Eastern Brown Snakes can be pugnacious when provoked and rear up in distinctive ‘S’ shape,” the museum’s website states.
