A new poll is showing that Melania Trump is the most popular member of the first family.
A new poll shows that Melania Trump is the most popular member of the first family.
“Melania is the only one of the four Trump family members tested in the poll with a net positive favorable score,” according to the CNN survey conducted from September 17 to 20 with 1,053 adults in the U.S.
The proportion of respondents who viewed her as favorable versus unfavorable were 44 percent compared to 35 percent while her husband, President Donald Trump, came in at 41 percent compared to 57 percent.
First daughter Ivanka Trump, meanwhile, had an even response of 41 percent on both sides which is better than her husband's, who received just a 20% favorable rating.
The first lady’s results may have been boosted by her public appearances over the past few weeks; she accompanied the president on two tours of areas that had been devastated by Hurricane Harvey.
Despite controversy about her decision to wear high heels to board Air Force One, she was later seen in more appropriate footwear and even helped serve meals at a shelter during their second visit.
Melania also spoke out about bullying during a luncheon held in association with the recent United Nations conference.
"No child should ever feel hungry, stalked, frightened, terrorized, bullied, isolated or afraid, with nowhere to turn," she told the crowd. “We must teach each child the values of empathy...kindness, mindfulness, integrity and leadership which can only be taught by example.”
Melania also reportedly plans to continue the White House vegetable garden former first lady Michelle Obama launched to promote healthier eating, according to Politico.
