Implantes RFID en manos: 3,000 pasajeros Suecos usan microchips para pagar sus boletos - TomoNews

ESTOCOLMO, SUECIA — Alrededor de 3,000 pasajeros Suecos han implantado chips biométricos en sus manos para pagar por sus boletos de tren.
La compañía ferroviaria Sueca SJ, introdujo la opción de pago en junio, reportó la BBC.
Los pasajeros que han decidido implantar el chip RFID bajo su piel pueden cargar sus boletos a los dispositivos.
Los implantes usan la tecnología Near Field Communication similar a los pagos con tarjeta de crédito o pagos móviles.
Se activa al detectar un dispositivo lector a solo centímetros de distancia, la información es transferida usando inducción magnética.
El conductor escanea el microchip con un smartphone para completar y verificar la transacción.
La compañía ferroviaria no hace los implantes a sus clientes. Las personas tienen que someterse al proceso por ellas mismas.
