Bill Gates Admits We Deserved Better Than 'Control-Alt-Delete'

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates acknowledged on Wednesday that the three key, Control-Alt-Delete login for Windows is not ideal but also said it’s not really his fault.
That admission came during Gates’ appearance at the Bloomberg Global Business Forum and after he’d been asked why that means was chosen.
“The IBM PC hardware keyboard only had one way that it could get a guaranteed interrupt generated. So, clearly the people involved, they should have put another key on it to make that work," Gates noted. "A lot of machines these days do have that as a more obvious function."
When asked if he has regrets about the login, Gates commented, “You can’t go back and change the small things in your life without putting the other things at risk,” but did ultimately say, “Sure. If I could make one small edit I would make that a single key operation.”
