Alicia Vikander is ready to raid some tombs!
The actress is giving audiences at very first look at her upcoming movie, Tomb Raider.
From video games in the 1990’s to Angelina Jolie’s big screen take on it in 2001 and 2003, Vikander’s 2018 adaptation of the role will introduce the independent adventurer to a brand new generation.
Vikander tells Empire magazine, “We asked, ‘What are the famous traits of this person?... How can we demonstrate them in the story, but make her feel like a young woman in 2018?”
We’re sure that audiences can’t wait to see how the action and exploration take place on screen, but they’ll have to wait until March, 2018 to see Vikander bring Lara Croft back to life.
