Firefighters catch runaway alligator in residential area

Footage has emerged from China of firefighters catching an alligator after it escaped its cage and wandered around a residential area.
In the video, captured in Bozhou, eastern China's Anhui Province on September 19, the firefighters can be seen catching the alligator as it crawls in front of a house.
As resident Mr Zhang was alerted by his dog and checked outside where he found the reptile.
Police and firefighters came to help catch the animal immediately after they received the call from Zhang.
According to reports, the crocodile was bought by a merchant from the nearby market.
It broke out of the cage and ran away with its mouth still bonded with tape.
