'Give up nuclear weapons’ South Korea backed by Trump issues latest WARNING to Kim Jong-Un
NORTH Korea must give up nuclear weapons NOW, South Korea demanded after US President Donald Trump warned he would destroy Kim Jong-Un should they attack USA. The office of South Korean President Moon Jae-in said: "We view the speech as portraying a firm and specific stance on the key issues regarding keeping peace and safety that the international community and the United Nations are faced with,""It clearly showed how seriously the United States government views North Korea's nuclear programme as the president spent an unusual amount of time discussing the issue," the presidential Blue House's statement said.Mr Trump spoke of a "depraved regime" and a "band of criminals".South Korea applauded Mr Trump's speech, saying it "reaffirmed that North Korea should be made to realise denuclearisation is the only way to the future through utmost sanctions and pressure"Mr Moon has come to realise, since he came to power in May, that since Pyongyang's sixth and largest nuclear test earlier on September 3, now is not the right time for a dialogue.

He and Mr Trump plan on meeting in New York early on Wednesday, Mr Moon's office said.It was Mr Trump's mention of the 1977 kidnapping of teenager Megami Yokata by North Korean agents that made headlines in Japan. "We know [North Korea] kidnapped a sweet, 13-year-old Japanese girl from a beach in her own country to enslave her as a language tutor for North Korea's spies," Mr Trump said. The US ally, which Pyongyang often threatens to destroy, has taken a consistently hard line on North Korea, pushing for increased sanctions and pressure. In 2002, North Korea admitted kidnapping 13 Japanese people in the 1970s and 1980s to train them as spies.  Five of them have since been returned to Japan, but it is thought that hundreds more may have been taken.Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has pledged to rescue abductees while he sits in office."We greatly appreciate President Trump's approach to changing North Korea's policy stance, denuclearising the country and calling on the international community, including China and Russia, for their cooperation toward strengthening pressure on North Korea," Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told reporters.North Korea has conducted more than 80 missile tests under their leader Kim Jong-un, which they claim is to protect themselves from US aggression.  US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said to Fox News on Tuesday: "We have the strictest sanctions ever put in place. We do believe there are early signs of those having an effect," he said."Ultimately, though, we're going to need the assistance of the neighbours in the region."Nine rounds of sanctions have been unanimously imposed on North Korea since 2006 by the UN Security Council."It is an outrage that some nations would not only trade with such a regime but would arm, supply and financially support a country that imperils the world with nuclear conflict," Mr Trump told the UN General Assembly.. 00FastNews.
