Survivors of the 7.1 magnitude that struck central Mexico on Tuesday have piled onto the capital's streets as public transport was brought to a standstill.

Video from Mexico City from September 19 showed scores of people walking along a main thoroughfare.

The filmer writes: "No more Metro, no more buses or even taxis. Certain people walked more than three hours to get back home."
