'His plans are HOPELESS!' Tory MP SLATES Corbyn's policies as 'pouring money down drain'
JEREMY CORBYN's plans to resolve grievances such as housing and high university fees are "completely hopeless" and like "pouring money down the drain", Tory MP George Freeman said. The Mid Norfolk MP slammed Mr Corbyn for his “hopeless” policy suggestions to improve the UK.The Tory politician said: "Yes, there are policy issues and I said very quickly after the elections that I thought Jeremy Corbyn highlighted the right grievances."But his prescriptions are completely hopeless. Simply pouring money in is not the answer!" Mr Freeman, who serves as chair of the Prime Minister’s Policy board, was particularly harsh in his attack on the opposition leader's proposals to resolve the housing crisis and the increasing student debt.Speaking to Westminster Hour, he said: "We’ve gotta do the hard work of coming up with different models of affordable housing for those at the bottom of the market, find new models on tuition fees."Philip Hammond has made clear that he’s looking right now for a solution with a view to an announcement in the budget."Ahead of the June 2017 general election, Mr Corbyn pledged to slash the cost of homes for 100,000 first-time buyers in case of a victory at the polls.

The Labour party also included in its electoral manifesto a promise to abolish student fees in an attempt to attract the support of younger voters.Mr Freeman said the Conservatives are now working on their own project to lure in younger voters to gain their help to "shape" the party's policy-making.The elimination of tuition fees has been a touchy issue for the Labour party since the election.During PMQs, the Prime Minister jeered Mr Corbyn for his party’s failure to help young peopleShe said: "Mr Corbyn talks about delivering for students. Let’s talk about delivery. Let’s talk about promises that he made. Yet again, he has failed to mention, on student fees: who was it who introduced tuition fees? It wasn’t the conservative party, it was the Labour party.". 00FastNews. Please Subscribe!
