Report: Theresa May 'Directly Complained' To Trump About London Attack Tweets

Theresa May is said to have directly criticized President Trump over his tweets about the recent attack in London.

Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May is said to have "complained directly" to President Trump over his tweets about the recent attack in London, reports Bloomberg.
Citing a U.K. government source, the media outlet notes that “May told the U.S. leader she was unhappy with his initial response...”
It involved Trump tweeting Friday, “Another attack in London by a loser terrorist. These are sick and demented people who were in the sights of Scotland Yard. Must be proactive!”
His message has been widely criticized by U.K. authorities who have questioned the basis for his assertion about the suspects being on Scotland Yard’s radar and indicated that the investigation is still ongoing.
Nick Timothy, who used to be May’s chief of staff, retweeted Trump’s post with the comment.
“True or not - and I'm sure he doesn't know - this is so unhelpful from leader of our ally and intelligence partner,” Timothy said.
The primer minister herself has publicly spoken out about the assertion, noting, “I never think it’s helpful for anybody to speculate on what is an ongoing investigation.”
Despite the backlash, Trump later tweeted a statement about his call with her; he omitted any mention of friction and simply said he had “relayed America’s deepest sympathy as well as our absolute commitment to eradicating the terrorists from our planet.”
The attack occurred Friday when a bomb-like device went off on a train during the morning rush hour, injuring more than two dozen people.
The Telegraph reports that police have since arrested an 18-year-old suspect in the case.
