9 - Disability is not inability…\r
Just ask the ORourke family who found 2 baby bunnies in their backyard in new. One of the bunnies wasnt able to hop and would drag his little legs behind him. The mom had more than likely abandoned him because of his disability. Due to the dragging of his feet, he would often rub the fur off and be raw – which is why the family designed this sweet little wheelchair to protect his legs and make his life a little easier. \r

8 - A little legless… \r
And this time it has nothing to do with alcohol but rather this feline called Callie Mae. She was chased by dogs and scampered up a tree, where somehow, she got electrocuted. She had to undergo a quadruple amputation. She made a full recovery, and manages to scoot around. Overall shes a pretty happy cat and even managed to catch a mouse one! \r

7 - For the birds… \r
This is Mr. Ben the parrot, who only has one leg. As you can imagine, its pretty challenging for him to try and stand on his perch. So he was fitted with a prosthetic claw to help him get a good night sleep! However, Mr. Ben chewed off his first prosthetic claw, so it was back to the drawing board for owner, Lorraine Hollingworth. Engineer Fred Standeven came up with a better design using a 3-D printer. Now Mr. Ben is a lot more comfortable and is able to be as mobile as any parrot should be! \r

6 - The cats where its at… \r
Mick and Bethany Szydlowski responded to a Craigslist advert for an autoharp, and came back with more than just the harp. When they arrived at the sellers house, they were shown a little blind kitten. Bethany fell in love with the kitten, and knew they would take him home. The kitten was born with eyeballs that hadnt fully formed. They were worried their cat at home, Klaus, wouldnt accept newly named Oskar – but they were wrong. The pair have become very popular on YouTube, and theyre describe as having a bromance, with Klaus always ensuring his baby brother is safe and well. \r

5 - Be prepared to shed a tear… \r
This little paralyzed hedgehog is seeming a little unsure at first of his new freedom of movement, but give him a few minutes and youll fall in love with him. The team at Exzootic vet made this tiny little wheelchair for him, and its just too adorable for words! \r

4 - Worlds First… \r
This is Mr. Stubbs the alligator – the first alligator in the entire world to be fitted with a prosthetic tai! He lost his tail in a fight, and without it – he was unable to swim and would remain on land for the rest of his days. His new tail is made from silicone and latex and the success of this tail was definitely a team effort! \r

3 - Something to quack about… \r
Another apt name, this is Lucky the duck and she frured one of her legs, which almost saw her being put down. She was given this nifty little sandal, which has enabled her to walk and swim, just as she was doing before!\r

2 - Where theres love, theres a way!\r
Meet Roo, the survivor dog! Its thought he was born with one missing leg, and that the other front leg was chewed off – however, cruel people attacked Roo with a spade and left him to die, in Romania. He was rescued by a British animal charity, and he was adopted by Joanne Moetaz. Roo now lives in the Isle of Wight and is doing really well. He hops everywhere like a kangaroo, and even goes to hydrotherapy and physiotherapy. \r

1 - Theres always hope… \r
Hope is the perfect name given to the giraffe born with severe deformities in her rear legs. The tendons in her feet prohibit the grown of her legs, making it impossible for her to walk. The staff at Topeka Zoo noticed the problem straight away, and with the help of Dr. Joseph Camer – they fitted her with special casts which were then changed 3-weeks later to prosthetic shoes. The shoes feature an external tendon system, so now Hope can walk and grow like any other giraffe.
