The Russian Economy Is Causing A Lot Of Hungry Citizens

While Russian President Vladimir Putin projects an image of strength, many middle-class Russians are going hungry.

Recent footage shows Russian citizens in huge lines, waiting for hours on the street for free food.

It's a window into one of the most unequal economies in the world. Almost 40 percent of Russians do note have enough money for food and clothing, while the Russian government spends huge sums of money on wars in Ukraine and Syria.

It remains unclear whether the Russian economy will improve for its citizens in the future.
